Im sitting here looking all around and cannot find r54 on the board, it is supposed to be by J1(p28 only perhaps), so where do i put this resistor on my p72?

im comparing it to this picture here:

and i also notice i dont have R52 while the ecu in the pic does(another p28 diff. perhaps?)?

Here is a picture of the ecu with the arrow pointing to where the resistor should be.

Here is the sticker saying that it is in fact a p72.


it looks like the resistor just connects the one chip to the newly put in one(looking at p28 ecu pics), and that for me to make it work i would have to do some scratching of the traces. anyone know what the deal is?

EDIT:At this point i really just need some clarification. i found one thread with a picture of a chipped p72, but its not a closeup, and what i am thinking is that i just put the resistor on J1, but i just need to know if this is right, if it is i will just solder one leg of the resistor in and have a switch from it to the other hole the resistor should go to.

if you go to hondata.com and download the manual or try this link. LINK it says the resistor is not needed on the p72 application. Not sure if it applies to a non hondata app. but I can't see why the chipping process would be any different.

J1 should just be a jumper
