Default Is a 90-93 Integra chassis worth it for a swap?

I was wondering if a lot of people swap engines into 90-93 tegs. If so, what is a good motor to drop in there? A guy is willing to sell me a driveable teg for $1000 and I was thinking hmm...maybe it would be good for a project car. Anyone know the approximate weight of this chassis?
Thanks

If the body is in good condition.. i say go for it. Put any b-series engine in there you want. Depending on what model you have, your talking anywhere from 2549+

My 1990 RS weights 2549, but its fully gutted. I'm thinking about putting another b18a.

I have alot of options im looking at at this time. All are gonna take a while.

-full b16 swap w/ lsd ( no torque though)- 8200 redline/ VTEC
-newer b18a(b) long block - homemade turbo kit, pricy in the long run.
-b20- torque!
-save and get a type R long block, and be reliable and quick.

sounds great!
yeah...i'm thinking about looking for an LS block since i've been hearing good things about the torque, etc.
however, i'm having a hard time finding mount kits for this chassis for some reason.
i don't see it listed for hasport or place racing.

thats cause b-series engines drop right in , you can use your original engine mounts or get some inserts or something.

just use your obd0 stuff on your new engine or obd1 depending on if its a 90-91 or 92-93 integra.

My 92 GSR weighs 2560 with a full interior. Too heavy for my taste, but I love the car

i have a b16 in my 91 teg and i love it
no torque but high end is ok much better than an ls
b16 integras are still faster than ls integras

thanks for all the helpful replies. i think i'll consider a jdm b16 swap if i end up buying the car. the DA can look clean as hell and ride really nice if done right.

let me get this straight.. you are running a stock b16 (1st gen i assume) with an LS tranny and you are faster than an LS? Not to be a dick, but i SERIOUSLY doubt you are faster than a stock LS.

LS trannies are horrible and that would be even more true with a b16.

I've thought about this too. CRVTEC would be perfect in this car!

Not to mention the fact that I've seen 92 Integras sell for less than 92 Civic hatchbacks!

I run a JDM B16 with an S1 tranny and I know Im fsater then LS tegs beat them all the time.. With an LS tranny you would be slower off the line but have a hell of a top speed when you get going. But the LS gearing is way to long for a b16

Yea, if your gonna get a b16a just get the complete swap, they're pretty cheap and drop right in 90-93 integras. obd0 goes in easy on 90-91 integras.
