Default are there any 500cc bikes?

I'm getting my license tomorrow (finished the MSF class already) and I want to start off small. Don't want to go up to 600cc yet unless my friends let me ride their bikes -which then I'd still like some practice on a smaller bike first.

I wish there was someplace that I could rent a bike because I do want a 600cc!

ps. might be irrelevant but i'm 5'2" so something with a low seat height would be

I loved my ex500. And I was able to teach a couple of girls to ride on it. 5'2 might be a bit difficult but very possible.

At 5'2", you're going to have to learn to slide and one-foot the bike, or else you're going to have to shave seats and/or drop the bike, or buy an EX250.

Alternativly, you could pick up a greymarket Aprilia RS250 or older 2-stroke. Most have a lower seat height.

I think the EX500 is a great bike, personally. If you plan on moving up to a 600, I'd stick with the EX. The SV teaches differen't riding habits due to it's engine nature, than the EX does.
