Finally, I'm going to try to remove my A/C system...
Did a search, didn't really find anything but I have a question, do I remove the extra fan that's on the radiator? Its not like the civics with a separate fan for the condensor and radiator, does it affect the car in away way?

Weight reduction. I track my car @ the 1/4
hehe.
I'll road race it sooner or later, I just figured I never use A/C even when its 120 degrees outside and I could use the extra money from it for some Toda A cams
UPDATE: Okay, the only thing left is the compressor and one of the lines. The line is stuck because I don't have an open ended socket big enough to take it apart. My friend is on his way to the rescue!
Since it's starting to get really hot now, should I just remove the evaporator from the dash and leave it like it is until I can buy that 1997 Integra Type R air duct?
It should be fine w/o anything there right?

as far as I know the extra fan only comes on when the AC is on. (correct me if I am wrong).
So I am wiring a switch so I can manually turn it on/off. Doubt that it will help much, just thought it would be a cool project.

Okay. I am done. well, not quite.
I have everything removed and good to go except that my car hasn't been reassembled. I also lost the nut to one of the battery tie downs, blah!
It got dark so I'm going to finish tomorrow. Here's a couple of pictures before it got dark.
BTW, A/C is up for sale!

if you really want to save the wieght. take the heater boxes out. the AC box doesnt weigh a thing compared to those 2. i took my heater boxes out, them my uncle had a good point about when it rains or snows, i need something to defog with. no A/C sure does clear up a lot of space doesnt it

Funny how the lady who owned it before me paid $2000 to have it installed, and I just ripped it out like it was nothing.
now rip out the power steering.
you can also get the pulley on your crank (i think its called ctr) so that you just have a slot for your alternator
dont forget to put aside some money for trips to 7-11 for drinks when your hot

I'm going to pull out the power steering this weekend.
I'm not sure abou the CTR crank, I've read some stuff on here that suggests its better to just keep stock crank.
