Default LS/VTEC or ls head???

I have a 90 ls. If you put a ls head on the motor, then that is not considered an ls/vtec conversion right? What else do you need for ls/vtec?

You need a b-series VTEC head (b16,b18c). Do a search for the parts required, I think there's even a how-to somewhere but I forget the URL.

You know that you already have an LS head on there right? Or do you mean a built LS head?

yea, do a search on google.. it may sound like a stupid suggestion.. but htere are alot of good resources out there.

to break it down... a LS vtec is b series Vtec head put on an LS short block and all the things u need to do in order to make that setup werk.

read up to LSVTEC05, at first i started thinking this is crap! ..but then i realized this was the early times of LSVTEC and they didnt know much about it...then they started getting positive about LSVTEC but it was too late..i didnt feel like reading anymore, especially after they said something like, the reason why LSVTEC is appealing is because the shape of the piston blah blah and the efficiency of the VTEC head blah blah--LS pistons are USELESS!!! THen they said not to use ITR cams with LS pistons because theres not enough valve clearance!?!? :GUN:
