i am getting a five zigen fireball exhaust for my gsr. now my question is that when i upgrade to the jdm itr header will have to change the cat because of the length? my orginal plan was to modify the cat with the 2.5 flange, but i wasnt sure if it would push back the exhaust system. originally the itr head is longer that the gsr header. btw this is for 98 gsr. thanks

i would, but do i have to get a gsr cat with 2.5 or an itr/ls cat with 2.5 since they are different lengths. also when using the ls/itr cat, will that effect the catback exhaust.

Depends on your setup.

 

I dont use cat anymore i use the SMSP test pipe. The car sound really nice and not loud but when VTEC come on is the real thing. I love my new test pipe thanks Dave.

 

Yes, the length of the cat will have to be changed as you now have an ITR specific header on your GSR.
