Default Melted plastic bag on muffler?

How in the hell can I get a the melted plastic bag off the muffler? what would be the best methed to take if off when the muffler is hot and plastic is melted or when the muffler is cold and the plastic is hard. The only tool i have with me at work is a spachulla(i think this is how you spell it). doing this on my 1 1/2 hr. break. the fumes are just killing me.

I would let it cool down and use your spatula (there's even a spell check for you ) to try and get the hard plastic off.

If that doesn't work completely I would use a lighter (with a long tip, like used to start a grill) to burn off the rest.

the kind of bag that got stuck on my mufflet was a thick bag like the kind you get at the gap you know the thick blue bag. it sucks. I will never let my wife drive my car again. every time the muffler gets hot the fumes are just so bad. i cant even roll my windows down because i can smell it .......

i tryed to scrape the bag off and it was just so hard so i turned the car on and let the muffler get hot i got some off i will try to get it all off this weekend just to big of a mess to deal with right know..........................god i love my wife
