Lift throttle oversteer
I was surprised the other day by my car when I actually experienced lift throttle oversteer. My car is a 98 LS and the only suspension upgrades are skunkworks coilovers, front strut bar, rear strut bar, rear lower tie bar and a trunk brace... anyways, I was spiritly taking a highway on ramp and got off the gas a bit at the apex of the turn; the rear end started sliding out, so I got back on the gas a bit and pulled the car straight;
It was a bit scary cuz I never felt it in my car before and I was surprised that my car would react like that... considering that my rear sway has not been upgraded and that I don't think the rear chassis and suspension are that stiff.
Anyways, I know this post is somewhat pointless but I just wanted to share. Now I can't wait to pick up an ITR sway bar... Peace

It doesn't matter how much your car oversteers, just about anyone in an FF can get lift throttle oversteer in the right conditions. I have done it with completely stock suspension on my GSR. Just be careful, and remember to stay down on the throttle.
I have done it at 100mph...... It was not agood experience. Car only stepped out a few degrees and I caught it instantly. It was scary as hell none the less.
on me for ******* around on on ramps....

that is why you are not supposed to take your foot off the gas when your in a corner. always give it a steady pressure until you're ready to hammer it coming out of the turn.
works for me
works for me
This is why you really should know what you're doing before you take turns at those speeds. The car will not do it for you. Handling mods will make the car feel better, more stable, etc, but they don't acutally do anything better than stock unless you know how to use it. In fact, mods can easily give you more can than the average driver can handle. The stock suspension is de-tuned for the average driver's safety, but stupidity can still get you into trouble.
