At least I think I do. I'v only heard froma couple of guys who went this route as opposed to a Greddy or whatever. See, I HATE the coffee-can look of those mufflers. I HATE THEM!
On the other hand, I'd like a freer flowing exhaust than stock. I hear the ITR gives a devent boost up top, but better yet gives it a little more mid-range punch. I don't want a rocket, so I'm not going to drop a ton of cash anyway. I drive the GSR 30 miles to and from work 5 days a week! I just want a little more oomph.
I'm also in the market for new headers, too. Again, looking at comptech 4-2-1. DC Sport seems to have too many cracking issues, from what I gather. Any experience with either unit I should be aware of?
Lastly... springs/shocks. I'm thinking of going with H&R OE's and Tokico shocks (not the Illumna. I really have no use for adjustables, as I usually only have time to flog the teg on a back road once or twice a week). I have hard there are som eissues with Tokicos and aftermarket springs. Now, the OE's are at most a 1" drop, so will this be a problem?
OK. Enough for now. I'm new here, and am just looking for a starting place! Thanks!

Here's what I suggest... we're all MORE THAN WILLING TO HELP... but use the search feature... just type in whatever you want to know... "shocks", "headers"... etc.
THEN, if STILL it's not answered... ask away. 99 times out of 100 you will get FAR more answers by doing your own research.. than from one lil' basic post.
Good luck!

If you need an ITR muffler, let me know..I'll sell you mind (I'll post it up for sale soon in the classify section). It'll bolt right up to the stock GSR..I'm using it right now...I'm going to replace it with a cheap *** mugen replica
It looks better...but I think it'll be a little more noise than the stock ITR and not that much better flow...hmm...
Anyways, if you want it, it's yours for $100 plus s/h
If you want the catback, you can get it customized at Minake (sp?) for around $40. Go with the 2.5" if you're going that route. Good luck.

i would recommend ITR shocks/springs as a very decent uprgrade to ur suspension. u will need ITR lower control arms tho for the shocks. 1" drop is just right. not too low and just enough to get rid of some of that wheel well gap.
along with ITr exhaust, which is a wise choice, i would get CAI by AEM or Injen. as for header, depends on what ur future plans for ur car is gonna be. the comptech/ greddy/apexi will be fine since it bolts right up to ur stock cat. ur GSR will look right and perform slightly better

You won't gain ANYTHING from just putting a Type-R muffler on your GSR stock catback...if you want gains buy the full OEM ITR catback and find a way to make it fit.
Also I highly would recommend Comptech's catback exhaust for your GSR. It is very stealth, small tip and all and has a nice bearable exhaust note.

the ITR muffler has been sold (or almost since he said he is sending me the money). There is little gain with the muffler BY ITSELF. But you will be amazed if you have the muffler shop custom made you 2.5" catback..I had them made one for $40...but now I have a Mugen muffler ..even better
I have a ITR Muffler and 2.25" from the cat on my 96 LS done by a local shop. I can feel the difference. I'm working on the ITR fit right now.
Ok...what I will do is get an ITR b pipe and put it with a SPOON N1 muffler. Pretty high flow and light weight. Since the B pipe is stock ITR's so u will still keep the low end but have way more flow on the hi end.
U won't gain much with a stock ITR catback with muffler....not worth the money.
For header I will either get JDM 4-1(best bang for the buck
) or SPOON 4-2-1 if u don't have a tight budget.
And for shocks and springs, KYB AGX with Kg/mm DR21 series or TEIN S-Tech springs will be my choice. I prefer going for Kg/mm DR Racing springs which is a dual rate design. Pretty comfortable on straight line but holds VERY well around corners.

Pls feel free to email me at spoonek4@hotmail.com if u need further info on those setups.

Random..did u get my email? or did u sell it to someone else already?
I know someone who has the ITR suspension on his Civic and he thinks it's the best set up he's had on his car. And he doesn't even have the rear sway bar. Not to mention it won't hurt your wallet at all. As for header, I would also look at SMPS headers. Depending on what you wanna spend, he makes 3 different designs, one of which is adjustable. do a search on this site for SMPS headers and send him an email. The DC header that supposedly cracks is the ceramic coated, but they also make Stainless.
