Weird suspension
whenever i go over a bump, big or small, my front wheel makes a "clink" noise. Do you guys think its the wheel bearings or the lower ball joint or something else? What is the symptoms of a bad wheel bearing/lower ball joint anyways? Thanks in advance
my make a slight noise too. do you have your car droped? a metal on metal clink could actually be the dust cap rattling. open your hood and tap on the dust cap on the top of the strut! it could be that! mine rattled ofter i droppd my car, so i just took them off!
yeah... it started after I lowered my car... took about a year before I heard any noises. Is there anyway to check? like what are the symptoms of a lower ball joint or wheel bearing? hey AzuleBB1, are you talking about where the three bolts are on top of the shock?
Sounds like the common shock knock. I think there is TSB out for it.
"Honda acknowledged the problem in TSB 99-084 which called for some pretty drastic measures to fix it, and in November of 2000 released an updated TSB 00-090 which replaces 99-084. This new TSB calls for the simple replacement of two steel collars which sit around the shock shafts in the rear suspension."
