ok im about to turn 18 in a few weeks and my mom hella wants me to get a car more big so that in an accident i dont get hurt. ive already owned a 94 gs-r and she tinks the car is way too little. she wishes i would get a celica gt-s 2000+ or 98-2002 2 door honda accord v6... at first i said "NO WAY!" but... accords r very nice cars to cruise wit and gt-s = nice too... and i belive stock gt-s takes down a stock gsr? i wanna knoe wut ppl tink of the accord and celica gt-s. my friends tink gt-s = labeled "girl's car"... LOL

those celicas arent that quick, plus yea the seem to be girly type, i see all these girls in them, never see guys, but its up to you, get what you like to drive

 

if your mom want u to get a bigger car the celica is not a bigger car
celicas are smaller than integras i think they are about 200 pounds lighter
and yes, i think a stock gts is a little bit faster than a gsr. and i really mean a lil

 

stock to stock yea its close and the win would usually go to the gt-s. but sadly enough gt-s' are very responsive to mods, i've read slips of gt-s with i/e doing 14.4 and a dyno of 170whp with those 2 mods. but yea big=accord (get the new one!)

lol yea... I went to a Celica meet a year or two ago with a some buddies... one of em said that it was the fastest looking parking lot he's ever seen

I hate people who think the bigger the better when it comes to accidents. I would much rather be in my Integra, than a big *** SUV if I got into an accident.

FWIW, I know two GTS owners who have gone 14.6 & 14.7. One had CAI and TRD exhaust and the other had CAI and underdrive pulleys.

Celicas aren't any bigger than Integras, they actually weigh less.

Bottom line, if you are buying the car, get what you want.

HAHHAAHHAHAHA....d00d you got the wrong manufacturer. Celica GT-S's are made by Toyota. Eclipse GS-T's are made by Mitsubishi.

My wife loves the GT-S! hehe! BTW, the biggest complaint I hear from GT-S owners is the wide gearing. It's too wide that when you shift you totally fall out of the power band. If it had shorter gearing it would be a much better car. But they seem fun and tossable and the aftermarket is abundant.

How about a 20th Anniversary GTi! Sweeeeetttt!!!

If your mom is that worried about safety, tell her send you to a racing school like Bondurant or Skip Barber! I'd kill to learn from them!!! Even your local NASA or SCCA would be a great help.
