Yup. A lot more parts are needed for a b-series swap.

ex would be a lot cheaper...talking about around $1500 for b16 swap and $400 for d16z6 swap.

the z6 would be much easier to do just run a few wires put in a different ecu, unless you want to run your nonvtec ecu

but performance wise, a z6 ef is going to take some work to get it as fast as an ef with a stock b16a.

but hey id you plan on beating the **** out of it and racing it all the time at your raceway doing track days, autox and etc, id get a fresh stock motor, or do decent z6 motor, since the cost will be much cheaper and the availability of parts for the z6 is just as far as the junkyard

derek

Using a ex/si ecu (obd-1) requires a bit more effort than plugging a few wires. If you use a Si ecu (obd-0), you will have to come up with a vtec activator. Wiring the z6 and b16 engine is very similar.

It all depends on your cash flow. Obviously the b16 will be quicker in stock form.
