comptech vs. greddy
should i get a comptech axle back or a greddy sp series axle back. want the quietest one. will there be a great difference on performance hand. post pics if you have any. need help quick.
Actually, my experience with the two exhausts is that they are equally loud, but their tones are different. The Greddy is deep and smooth, while the comptech is higher-pitched and raspier. Both sound great though.
I'm not sure about Comptech, but I don't bellieve that GReddy sells an axle-back system -- cat-backs only. I tried (in vain) a while back to buy just the muffler portion of the exhaust system (which would be the axle-back portion), but they were not available that way.
My vote goes for the GReddy, though. I had the SP for more than a year, and now I have the PE. I like both. The SP had a great deep, mellow sound. IMO, it looks much better than the Comptech.

I've had my Greddy PE for about 2 years now....and the semi-poor quality work is starting to show. Right around the exhaust tip the weld is now broke and the b-pipe weld on the resonator is is also broken. I had to get them both spot welded to stop it from making a god awful putt-putt-putt sound. Besides that the sound is awesome deep and mellow until you floor it, then it sounds like it means business.

well from what i heard is that the comptech was a bit more queit and is loud when you accelerate to high ends so i would go with the comptech because its more for the hp in the car rather then the intimadating sound which most people like to hear....
greddy does not make a rear section/axle backs system,,,,only cat back...Comptech offers both styles.
The greddy SP is the quieter of the 2, they both have a deep sound. The Comptech is 100% polished stainless, only the muffler on the greddy is stainless.....here's a link to some of the exhausts we sell for integras: GReddy http://www.diabloautosports.com/adva...xhaust+integra Comptech: http://www.diabloautosports.com/adva...xhaust+integra

I might be the only one but i dislike the comptech exhaust. Its way too expensive, the muffler is just a cheap dynomax and it doesnt sound nearly as good as my DC. Too raspy and doesnt look all that good either. If those are your 2 choices I would go with the greddy sp.
I don't know what comptech exhaust you heard, but comptech is not raspy, it is a deaper sound overall. The muffler is not made by dynomax, it is made in house by comptech....the welds and contruction are as top quality. I have one on my type R, and I like it a lot, as do a lot of my customers. True it's more expensive then greddy, apex, etc.....but cheaper then mugen and just as good of quality. Yes, I'm the black type R driving around in Dublin, Our shop is located in Dublin, CA.
alrighty i got the comptech SS catback system and ill tell u one thing its LOUD as HELL. i was really pissed cause everyone told me it would be really quiet. i had to put on a 75$ glasspack and now it sound nice and much much quieter.
I got the comptech and I love it. Check out the quality of this thing.
