Magnetic drain plug
Sorry if this has been covered before but FYI , just bought a generic magnetic oil drain plug for $6.49 at Pep-Boys and I'm pretty sure Western Auto carries it too.
It's part# 14-1.50(14mm nut and 1.50 thread). According to the book it is the correct size for most civics (doe's not list the 99'-00' SI, I'll find out saturday) but check for your application. Sorry for those who bought THE OVERPRICED ONES.

I have platinum drain plugs with a 1ct diamond inset.
Sorry I have more money then you.

Word. I know what you mean. I have the platinum one also, but they didnt have the 1 ct. insert in stock, so I went with the 1/2 ct. People stop me on the street all the time to see it. Its a bitch jacking the car up and pulling it out evey time, but hey, if it gets me a little repsect in my underground street racing scene, I will do it everytime.

You take your car to pepboys for an oil change? I do it myself since I don't trust the workers there. I went to some lube place once and they "had" to test drive my car; after that I do the work myself.

Pepboys does all my work. I dont have enough confindence to do my own work, I am always afraid I will mess something up.

Manny, moe and jack were close friends of mine.. There sister used to have a crush on me, and things turned out bad. It sucks, too, because they were going to give me a grip of APC products as a wedding gift. Now i have to get my own damn illuminated exhaust tip.. And my own magnetic drain plug, wich sounds like a good deal.
(thanks for the heads up)

some might think that magnetic drain plugs are a waste of money and ineffective but, here is mine after only 100 miles during the break in of the newly built engine:

damn thats tite as hell. i feel so stupide now i thought magnetice drain plug was meant for like when your doing an oil change and you drop the plug in the oil pan and dont want to stick your hand in hot oil to get it out and use a magnetic extensions instead. i had no idea it was meant for attracting metal shavings that cold be harmful to your motor. nice pic bro
I always had problems getting the magnet out of the pan after I took the plug out, itd always be stuck somewhere up inside the pan ad id have to sweep it out with a phillips head. If somebody would just make a brass pan, I'd surely go back to using the magnet.
