I found this on groupbuycenter. It basically a rev limiter, which I have been looking for and the bonus that it lets you play with fire out of the exhaust. What are peoples thoughts on this? Sure looks fun as hell!
((( Adjust the sounds and fire )))
$325 Shipped
@@This will not damage your engine and turbo (turbine) like miss fire system does!!@@
Red button :
Allows you to adjust the “firing "(set up the timing of ignition point (16 point every 500 rpm from 2500rpm~10000rpm!!) you can fill up more or less the air of gasoline into the pipe and ignite it! And it also allows you to set up the red-lines limit (rpm) without damage your engine while fuel-cutting, just like fuel cut defender!! :
White button :
Allows you to set up like red button does (16 points) even the car is static!!
White button :
Allows to adjust the volume (16 points volume) of popping sound from your exhaust, just sounds like the miss-firing system!!
Product info.:
You bidding the newest fun car-goods which only released in Japan, it is really fun more than a blow-off system, it can also protect engine fuel cut!! It just released last
September, the supply still is unable to meet the demand in Japan!!
Use the Bee Racing Rev Limiter to help protect your engine. Instead of causing fuel-cut which can cause stress on the engine, the Rev Limiter cuts the ignition. This action also results in a "miss-firing" simulation. If you have a test pipe on your vehicle, the results would be flames if you load the system enough with fuel. If you still retain your catalytic converters, you will hear a popping sound. The miss-firing control allows you to set the style of miss-firing simulation.
Remember test-pipes are not street-legal.

rice with function!
Really, I wanted some kind of 2 step rev limiter, but the fire thing is just a bonus to scare the hell outta people.

... so when you bounce off the rev limiter, you spit fire huh?... sounds interesting... i like the function (ignition cut vs fuel cut)... the flames sounds like a cool idea (kinda ricey)... but i dont know how much i would wanna hit the rev limit just to spit flames out... my .02...
So, basically all this does is cut the spark which pools fuel that then ignites, later. Isn't that what the MSD 2-step does, except that you can't make it pool INSANE amounts of fuel?
Amusing, but not for $325. I 'll just make my own

make me one !
Seriously though, if people see me spit fire, that automatically makes me hardcore! (my riceboy side)
I may look into a msd 2 step also. But first gotta worry about getting my new built motor back into the car.

Speaking of your new motor. You are running that LS-VTEC T right. Did you ever figure out where the water was coming from.

yep I found out where the water was coming from. The sleeves dropped .25mm below deck and the head was warped. I dont know how, brand new motor and 8 miles under 3k rpm.
Oh well, now I am getting a GSR Golden Eagle, 83mm, 10:1 Je and Crowers, and my JG pro series head =D

They make a niiice looking tubular turbo manifold for the KA24DE...never heard of them before that. Those Japanese companies have names that are almost as funky as their products!

Not trying to be an *** here, but this is the type of crap that gets people like me pulled over for doing nothing. "Ricers" who buy this type of stuff are 90% of the time the same ones causing trouble and making the cops look at all imports the same. It gives people who are serious about their car (performance wise) a bad name. Not tryin to start anything.... just my 2cents.
BTW you can do the same thing with a spark plug in the tail pipe for $2.
why is this even the FI forum

so it really shoots fire????
Im assuming you are running a straight pipe then huh.
Does the actual rev limiter function work well compared to a msd 2 step?
