The move also could lure many Honda owners who have been hesitant to modify their vehicles because of warranty concerns.
SWEET!!!!

Don't some Honda & Acura dealers sell Comptech parts with the assurance that they won't void the factory warranty.

Interesting. It makes you wonder if Honda is going to import all the new RSX to ITR conversion pieces, or if it's going to be grey market only...

What are you talking about? Thats not needed since the RSX Type R is being imported to the US. If you don't believe me there's even an article talking about that at the same site

The deal with Comptech is the car's normally covered under warranty if you buy the parts at the dealer and they install them.

If you buy Comptech parts, especially at the dealer, and do the work yourself, you are less likely to have your warranty unilaterally voided...Comptech is seemed to be looked upon well by the dealers and warranty reps, but of course each is different.

It sounds like they're playing some games and don't want to definitely say that they'll bring it here, but it's already out in Japan. Does anyone know anything about the motor on the one in Japan?

I saw that site. I know the RSX-Type R will most likely make it to North America, but I'm considering the fact that it will not be out for two years!! I'm sure many new RSX owners would want like to put ITR spec parts on their cars...

Stephen, you porbably have different experiences with the dealers than i did concerning comptech parts....TWO of my local dealers both told me that Comptech parts if its the cause of failures, WILL NOT be covered under warranty, and that Honda/Acura does not have any legal responsibility to cover it because Comptech is not endorsed by Honda.

Anyway , its about fricken time
TRD is waaaaaay ahead of Honda IMO.....but then again, all honda has to do is get Mugen back under their wing and they are good to go.

BTW, i feel that these inhouse tuners arent ALL THAT and a bowl of grits....well the warranty thingy is phat, but the creativity that one can have with their own set up is less...like for instance i guess you can compare it as a "sport package" .....mixing and matching components i believe will give more satisfaction and perhasp yield better performance than what Honda is willing to do i think, compromises must be made for their rep since it's just not a pure performance thing for them...Also, every one will be around with like a Integra with a Honda suspension package and Stage 2 engine modifications....i dont know if im getting my opinions across right.....im psyched for this, but theres a part of me that thinks i wouldnt buy some of their parts, or have them do some things...I guess it depends on what people are looking for...some people are looking to learn about their cars, crunch some numbers ,do some dirty work, pride in creating somthing and all that jazz, while some people just wanna shell out the dough and have the Dealer mod their cars and go out and have fun.....both of which are good in their own right. Does anyone know what im trying to say, because honestly i dont think i made myself clear sorry im a little under the weather.
