race team name registration??

sorry if wrong forum maybe move to GDD if more apropriate...

when securing a team name is it a trademark or a copyright?

and any idea what the legal fees cost?

thanks!! thats what I thought but wasnt sure... I found a website that can do the search and registration, its 50. to 150. for the levels of searches, and about 300. for the registration

just needed to know wich it was
