will I/H/E eat up gas???
ever since i got my full catback exhaust,, ive been going through gas way faster,, and i already was bad when i got the headers and cold air. so does having those mods eat up gas?? for u guys?
no...
Its probobly because you like the sound so much...you're are on the gas more.
D, who has the same problem.
You should also consider what kind of driving your doing. Does it just *seem* like you are using more?? or do you have some hard #'s that you've kept track of?

In theory (going out on a long thin limb here) aftermarket "components" should make your car/motor more effiecent (seen by the alleged increase in hp); however, they, of their own accord, can't reduce gas milage for the reason above. So, to address your question: Do mod eat up gas? No, your right foot does.

thanks guys,, yea i mean i defintly love the sound, deep bass greddy SP,, and i defintly hit the gas harder than before,, its just that toward the end of my tank it just keeps dropping even when its only like 10 15 miles.

Mods really help fuel mileage for highway driving. After doing my tranny swap (including lightweight flywheel) in addition to existing mods like intake, header, pullies, etc., I averaged over 31mpg for a 1000 mile trip averaging 75-80mph. However, when I was near toll-booths, my fuel mileage went way down, because I was having way too much fun accelerating back up to speed!
