Default Skunk2 H22 intake manifold now on sale at NOPI.com?

Yeah, I know, we've been over this a dozen times as to when this thing will actually be ready, but this is on NOPI's e-catalog site right now: Skunk2 H22 Intake Manifold. I even clicked the "Order" button and it put it in my cart to see if it would actually place the order, and it went through the process, up until they wanted my CC # for the $400 that I don't have, at which point I canceled it. There is also at least one other site that I've found (a Canadian site) that actually has it listed as being available and for sale now.

So does anyone know what the real deal is? Anyone know any reps that can verify this. On Skunk2's site it still says "TBA" I tried calling NOPI today, but they were already closed, so I'm gonna call them NOPI in the morning, and if it's legit I'm gonna check all my seat cushions to try and scrape together the loot to order it Friday.

blah blah blah blah blah blah blah... I don't see why everyone feels the need to post up ANYTHING if ANY retailer decides to advertise the Skunk2 IM. If you don't have it in your hands, it doesn't exist. PERIOD.

Yeah yeah yeah, I know I know, this dead horse has been beaten to a bloody pulp by now after over a year (or more) of waiting. This thing really really does seem to be going the route of the mythical Endyn H22 supercharger.

People, including me, keep posting about it 'cause we all want/need one bad as hell. Tell you what, if NOPI says "Yes, we have them." I'll order it and if they actually send me something that even remotely resembles one I'll post a pic of it in my hands.

That's all nice and good, but every single time some retailer updates their database someone has been posting "look what I found! They're selling the manifold!" Then when they actually call/e-mail it becomes "oh wait, they're just arranging the pricing..." then "it's still slated for 3 more months of R&D.." As of last heard from an OFFICIAL SKUNK 2 DEALER it's still at LEAST 2-3 months away.

Alot of merchants advertise them but dont have them. So I agree and think that someone needs to actually have one physically in their possesion then tell us.

they told me a month ago, that it would honestly be 1-2 months and I could expect 7-10 whp. Do you guys think it would be worth it for me with only i/h/e to buy one.

It made decent power gains on the B motors. So hopefully we can expect the same for our motors. I have riden in my friends before and after and it "felt" like vtec was coming in stronger. But that could have been all in my head. As far as voiding your warranty, the Honda dealerships are straight up dicks here. But anything you put on your car that is not OEM voids your warranty.

most dealerships dont care about mods such as e/h/i they definately care when you start messing with the ecu.

I called NOPI this morning, and they have them IN STOCK right now. The rep said that they were going really fast, but said that even if they do sell out, they can get you one within 2 days time.

Yeah, NOPI closed at 7 pm Eastern. I called them back right before they closed this evening and the rep that I talked to said that they were sold out, but reiterated that they could get me one within 2 days as long as I pre-paid.

I'll still believe it when I see it/get one though. I wouldn't even mind putting up to help the first person to actually get/install one dyno it.

Edit: When I called NOPI this evening, I asked the sales rep SEVERAL times was he sure, so many times in fact that I think he was becoming annoyed and I was starting to get on his nerves. I gave him my make and model, the exact part description, AND the part # from the e-catalog. He confirmed all of that and said "Yes, they are available."

Damn $400.00, I guess since they are part of the few that have it they charging alot huh? It should go down when they release to other merchants, well I probably cant wait either so I would pay that amount too. Let us know if you dont get it soon, since they say they can get order more in 2 days.

I think that $384 price was really set by Skunk2. If I'm correct that is almost, down to the dollar, the price that satan_srv reported it was gonna be a few months ago. There is also another place, a Canadian site that was reportedly selling them (streetstyleracing.com, which has been off-line now for like 3 days for some strange reason), and after you did the conversion it came out to be the same price that NOPI is charging now, so...

My only quandry with buying the IM right now is that I would actually be using the $$$ that I'd set aside for the Mugen header; I really don't think I'll be able to afford to pay bills & still buy the header & the IM out of this paycheck. I could maybe charge the IM instead of waiting 2 weeks, but I'm not really sure that putting it on a card is such a good idea, I just paid the damn things down. Opinions on which to get anyone?

Kinda OT, but: Another question: I know that me and my friends can put the header on ourselves if I buy that, but how hard will the IM be? Take into consideration that I'm admittedly not very mechanically inclined, although so of my crew are. Also, who's selling H22 Hondata IM gaskets?

Bills always comes first, this is just a hobby we have.

As far as the intake manifold, it doesnt come w/ the gasket? Well you can purchase one at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

Installing it takes alot of time. There are some difficult bolts to get too, but should be fine. Its pretty straight forward.
