To buy or not to buy?
Ive been trying to help my girlfriend find an Acura Integra GSR and its proved to be pretty difficult. I did however find one that is kinda interesting. Id like some opinions. Its a 2001 Acura Integra GSR white with leather interior etc but the only problem is that it has a salvage title. The guy wants 10950 for it. It only has about 26000 miles on it too.
I figure that the price is pretty high considering that it is a salvaged car. Id like to try and talk him down to maybe 8000 or lower. What do you guys think is reasonable.
Second: Do you even think that its a smart idea to try and buy a salvaged car or would i be better off just looking some more and finding a car that is as affordable but not salvaged. Obviously if i wait the car will have more miles and be a little older.

Run a carfax to see what exactly was wrong with it. My friend's dad is in the business of sellin salvaged cars and i asked my friend and he said it probably is to high but the demand for integra is too high also. He is saying that even at that price someone will end up buying it. but i dunno man it seems to high for me.
That price is outrageous for a salvage title. Go to carfax.com and run a report to see what's wrong with it. If it was just wrecked and had new engine and all replaced go for it, but don't get yourself in over your head if you don't know what your buying.
Depends how bad you want it. First run a check and then see how much it would be for insurance.....then go from there. If you really want an integra gsr then just patiently wait and make the right decision. But I will tell you this....you won't find any with only 26,000 miles for 10k. thats pretty much guaranteed (if there are gsr's for that low of a price, they will sell in about a couple days if that). So, if you really want one and you want low miles. Then, either take a chance or wait it out. You never know what you can come by.........

Definitely not a good choice then. Pricey too. I wouldn't buy it for more than $8k. I bet you could find one for about the same price with low miles that isn't salvaged and you would be a lot happier. Plus, not knowing what exactly is wrong with it since the wreck could have damaged things that are still unknown it is a saftey issue too.
