'94 Accord ECU, what does it control (for switching to standalone)
Does anyone know in '94 what Honda ECU's controlled? Any links that I can find out? I want to find out whether i'll need to keep the ECU for some electronics.
The 94 Accord ECU controls 94-95 Accords pretty well. Transmission specific, of course. It's divergent from the Civic/Integra ECUs that Hondata and PGMFI and such support.
I'll offer you $30 shipped for it.

A Hondata ECU will work this car well. I use it on my '90 accord and have some good base maps. For the 94 model year, two wires in the loom will need to be switched. A6 and A10 If I recall correctly.
PT3 is a common platform with the Civic/Integra stuff?? That is crazy, I never would have guessed, I ASSumed it was like the 94-95 POx stuff with a diff case/mobo and that it wouldn't work.
Well the thing is I'm running Autronic which doesn't 'piggy-back' off the ECU. It completely eliminates the ECU. However, I was just trying to find out if I'll need it for other basic operations in the car. At this point, I don't know what the ECU exactly controls.
