Default Anybody else have been without your civic for a while?

My clutch went out on me yesterday I have to wait about two weeks so I could come up with the funds to fix the dang car . anyways to make things worst yesterday I was at a club ...I started getting rowdy with some guys and when i took off from the club a damn bullet went through my quarter panel in my tahoe. I ducked and left home . anyways It sucks not having a car..it sucks taking the bus..

btw the 02 tahoe is not mine its my sisters. she almost killed me in the morning though..

Word.

I had my license taken from me in December for getting 3 tickets in a year (they're hard out here in CO). My car was stolen right before I lost my license-- I've since replaced it w/ my EG, but actually have never driven it out on the streets-- I've done a grip of work to it though... oh well. Next week I get it back.

Lesson learned.

Been without mine for 3 days doing an intake manifold swap in the afternoons..first I didnt have a brace, so I made one, and after that I didnt have enough coolant line...sucks to have a little project take 10 times longer than you think it should!

I was without my car for 6months. The motor, car, and everything for it sat in a garage that was about a 45min drive away, I could NEVER work on it.

I havent had my Hatch in about 8 months. I blew my motor on the interstate comin home from Orlando, bought a d16z6 to drop in it bought new clutch and other stuff, so I was LOW on funds. Got the motor installed it had a rod knocking HARD, come to find out it had a spun bearing. Then I bought a d16z6 shortblock from sohfast.com, had the previous head P&P (Which for some reason took forever) and a valve job and had it all checked out to make sure it was still good,
Got it swapped, had to use my DX tranny cuz 2nd gear was gone on the SI/EX tranny. Found out that I had a bad coil in distrubutor and a bad water leak. It is finally at the garage gettin that **** takin care of!

My motor decided that 3 cylinders would be fun to drive (it's an old CX motor) so I am HOPEFULLY going to buy this motor Friday (d16y8) and get it going again by next week so I don't have to drive the good old 93 Buick Lesabre around.

**** I havn't been with my baby for over 8months. she's been at my friends body shop getting a paint job and he's stalling on me since it was a favor. I'm almost in denial without her at this point. she's like my wife. I've spent more money on her these past months on a full swap and mad bolt ons than I actually paid for her. it hurts coming home every day seeing all the stuff I bought but no car. But soon she'll be back and more crazy than she ever was.

Damn man you must have been getting pretty nasty for peeps to be busting caps at you. but be careful you don't need that bs for not at least a good reason.

well in any event for all yall without your babies good luck and in time we all shall have our wifeys back. peace

Im not gonna lie to you guys. It was all my fault. I was the trouble maker that night but some people take it to the extreme. The valet got my car and I soon as I hit the corner boooom something hit the car and my friends got down. It was a AK for sure it passed two quarter pannels and still kept going.

BTW it wasent the first time

Yeah, I'm ride bitch. The worst is if you go out (for those over 21)-- Then your friends begin to be unhappy with you never being DD. Imagine having a sweet car sitting in your driveway that you pieced together with your bare hands, but Johnny law and the dept. of revenue decideds that you're not road-worthy for a certain period of time.

LOL. I bought my B18c before I bought my Cx Hatch and I only drove with the CX engine once and it was horrible, I cant even imagine how slow that thing is with only 3 cylinders running.

LOL. two weeks for me before it was swapped out. the CX engine is beyond horrible. kind of reminds me of a briggs and stratton go cart engine.

i haven't driven my civic in about a two months because of a sputtering problem.
