Default Bought factory "fogs".....need advice

Received my factory fogs last week without install directions.
What now?
Above all I would like to avoid Acura of Omaha at ALL costs.
Should I order directions and have my friend who owns a stereo shop install them?
Can a stereo shop install this sort of contraption without the directions?
Is it easy enough to install by myself with directions?
Or should I just duct tape them to the roof of the R for that "rally look" and not worry if they light up or not?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Stop by another dealer and ask for the install instructions...They are free.

Maybe 12-13 pages of stuff.
Unless the stereo shop has installed them before or has instructions... I would pass.

Seemed easy with the directions... just time consuming.

if they're new from the dealer, it *has* to come w/ instructions and a template for cutting the bumper. I'd go back and tell them to get the instructions for j00.

I ordered them from Mike from this board in Florida and they came with the templates. There is a notice on the box that they do not include instructions and to call Acura for them.
I`ll try going to the dealership here and asking for the instructions but I`m sure they will look at me with the "Acura makes a car called a type-r" look.
Then after I spend 30 minutes explaining to them what a type-r is they will dispute the fact that Acura sells factory fogs for this "phantom" car.
I`ve been there before and I swear this dealership is not really an Acura dealership at all but some sort of government secret base in disguise and I`m willing to bet they have an alien autopsy lab where the service department should be.

Thanks for the advice, I`ll work on getting the instructions and try installing myself. I just might be giving you a call TypeRmsm, but I`ll try the dealer first.

Black Dragon- If Acura of Omaha is the only near-by dealer in the area and if you want to avoid 'em I'll make copies of my instructions and send 'em to you via snail-mail. The installation shouldn't take more than 2 hours. Just make sure that you have Helm's manual if something goes awry. E-mail me @ cosworth_396@yahoo.com if you want me to send you the instructions.

That`s fantastic Cosworth (and TypeRmsm), greatly appreciated!
If the dealership doesn`t work out I`ll be making contact tomorrow.

Oh yea, and if I suddenly stop posting or just seem to disappear suddenly I am being held in a secret dungeon underneath Acura of Omaha by the so-called "salespeople".

Any model line instructions will work from a 98-01 Integra as fog installation is identical in every model.

Also, Acura will fax them to you free of charge if you call them.

They were easy, but time consuming to install. Took 2 of us about 2 hrs, because of the relatively large amount of disassembly/reassembly that has to be done, but there is nothing that is really difficult. I think the hardest part was cutting the spots for the brackets to install, and that wasn't that tough. Get a few new hacksaw blades and a few new utility knife blades, and that should be it. The templates for cutting aren't necessary, but they are nice to have.

Everything is there, and you just plug them in. Not hard at all, but you have to know where to look for the connectors.

Again, mucho thanks for the advice and help.
I went to the dealer last night and they surprisingly said, "sure, ok, just a sec". So I now have the instructions and will install them this weekend.

FYI, when I was getting ready to leave, as I was just checking my mirrors to back out of my spot, an unmarked totally blacked-out Suburban comes screeching to a halt right behind my truck so as to block my exit. Next thing I know there were four guys (ala Matrix) pulling me out of my seat yelling and screaming for me to keep my hands up, do I have any drugs,....blah, blah. I was handcuffed and thrown down face first in the cement where I was promptly interrogated. They were asking me questions like, 'what are you doing here?', 'how much do you know?', and ' how did you get in here?'. They give gave me little time to answer their questions and before I knew it I was clubbed on the head and thrown back in my truck and the Suburban was gone in a puff of burning rubber. Needless to say I got the F outta there right quick.
This seemed a little suspicious to me and further fuels my belief that Acura of Omaha is a secret government alien autopsy lab.
On the way home I was thinking that the whole "getting instructions" thing did seem just a little too easy. I wonder if they know I know.
