Is this the stock front lip on my car?
I got this car 2 weeks ago and the guy mentioned something about the front lip. He wasn't the original owner. He buys cars from private auctions and is a private dealer basically. Just want to know if this is the stock front lip or not?
Also, did some B18B's come with a silver valve cover? This is how mine is, but all the other pictures I see of peoples cars they are black.

yes, it's a stock itr front lip
you're correct, the vavle cover has been polished and the black "paint" has been removed.
makes you kind of wonder what else was done to the car?

that is the ITR/OEM lip on that car, and yes the valve cover should be black... looks liek someone removed the crinkle paint from the cover.

Those were the only 2 things that stuck out. Everything else seems stock. The car was a lease that was defaulted.

looks like the black coating was removed. probably had an oil leak that seaped under the paint on the valve cover. Over time it eats away and flakes off.
looks like they probably just took the rest of the paint off. Oddly enough, i suspect the valve cover was removed to do it thoroughly... if the cover was removed to repair something else, that is indeed a mystery.

Looks great to me! 
Don't worry about the valve cover; people do things for Weird reasons. It was probably just a cosmetic mod. No oil leak would take paint off a valve cover that's only 3 years old. Good luck with the new car.

the lip is trash, sell to me for $5 
just kidding, but yea it's OEM ITR lip very nice to have and the person didn't even know about it. plus the side skirts are also factory just painted to match the car (another bonus)
