Default what exhust is just right?

I am looking for an exhust system for my 2000 hatchback, with B16a2 Motor. I want an exhust that isn't to overpoweringly loud, but can sound good when you get on the vtec. In other words i don't want to have a loud buzzing in my ears when i get out of my car.
-List your set up and how you like it, also include price and where you got it from
thanks for helping me make a good choice for exhust!

well you asked a ? he gave an answer. What's wrong with magnaflow? you have custom pipes made with a magnaflow or es muffler and it'll sound good...not to loud, sounds great in vtec. that's what i did, i couldn't afford a 500$ catback, and this one i have flows just as good if not better. I have 2.5" pipes and a straight thru dynomax muffler. Most real catbacks are about 2.3 inches. But if you want the name then buy it don't jump on the guy for giving a suggestion.

and for being ignorant why don't you use the search function tons of threads about exhuast setups. And they even have sound clips to

i had a themal and it sounded nice and quiet, but in vtec it was loud!!!! i now have a jdm type and i like it better, the fact that its sounds stock yet flows well is a plus!!!

Actually get custom mandrel pipes run, throw on a magnaflow es oval style SS muffler, and a 22in magnaflow resonator and you'll have a nice sounding setup. Magnaflow has been around forever and makes good mufflers, just because ghetto shops sell it doesnt mean its bad. You'll get better flow out of this setup than most catbacks you'd be looking at buying.

see that's what i said splittime...it's exactly how it is...people associate magnaflow or dynomax as ghetto. But yet they sound great and flow a lot smoother. I say save some money and give it a try. Besides with one of those mufflers cops don't look at you which is why i bought mine, also painted it flat black. It looks so stealth but magnaflow is far from ghetto. peace

I run custom piping with a magnaflow es style muffer. what's wrong with it? maybe because it's not bling bling.

i'll admit...my friend's WS sounds nice.

I have an Arospeed axleback that is mounted to 2.5" piping which runs up to a GSR catalytic converter

Pretty f**kin' loud @ WOT!

Sounds good though for normal daily driving
