Default Exhaust problems ALSO .. flexpipe vs stock

OK.. so I've now been through 3 exhaust setups.. or 4 or so.. and I'm still having the same "rattle"/raspy sound .. lets start from the beginning

-I got the car and the exhaust was out the side of the car like "nascar" coming out from underneith the passenger seat..
-Next I put a full 2 inch all the way back to highflow cat and no resonator and a type R muffler.. which I thought had a bad baffle or something lose inside
-SO I got a new muffler (just like it) .. same problem.. so I have just decided the muffler can't flow that much air.. or it resonates inside because of the lack of resonator .. LOL .. guess that made more sense but I didnt wanna belive it because I liked that setup..
-So now I have a Tenzo R muffler which is better than all of the setups so far but it's still rapsy..

2 questions/ problems
1. Should I put a resonator in..
REason.. its "raspy" in vtec and sounds like the muffler is rattling off .. think a resonator will fix this.. (others have this problem?)
2. Has anyone had a rattle between header/manifold and exhaust (from the springs I think that let the pipe flex).. I'm having a rattle there.. I think itst he springs and I'm thinking a flex pipe will fix it but people have told me about flex pipes ripping (is that likely)..

ANY HELP WILL DO THANKS

Get a good resonator, it will fix most of your problems.

Magnaflow makes resonators in all shapes and sizes.

Is a resonator the same thing as a glass pack? I'm going to be getting a custom exhuast here in a couple of weeks and I told my buddy that I wanted a resonator on it. He said "Yea, I'll throw a glass pack on there". I asked him if a glasspack and a resonator was the same thing and he said "Yes".

Thanks

The rattle on 94-95 GSR's usually comes from the A pipe on the header. Is it around 3000-3500 rpm?

From my understanding a glass pack and resonator are not the same. They have the same jobs, but they do it a little bit differently. A glass pack uses fiberglass to help sound-deading, whereas a resonator uses a different material but most of it's quieting comes from it's design.

WiggiE you are right....... You dont want a glass pack. that is what big old v8's use when they want to sound meaner than they really are. A lot of times when you put in a high flow cat it increases the raspyness. If your trying to keep it as high flow as possible just add a resonator you might get lucky and the sound disaperes. Just add a turbo....... acts as a sound barrier between the motor and exhaust

Ok so the rattle is when the motor goes understress.. like.. b/t gears.. big bumps and pulling off.. and I'm pretty sure its the springs b/t header and exhaust.. would a flex pipe fix it and have you ever heard of a flex pipe breaking?
