Just called local acura and ordered them, 3-4 days. I got axxis ultimas..so no shims with those. was like 7 bux for the inner pads as a set, and 8 for the outer set, so like 15 bux.... My stock pads had deep marks from the calipers, ohh well. Tack on a few more days to my car
You do not need to use shims...trust me I know the mechanics at the dealership and see them take off brakes are there are usually no shims. They use brake lubricant on the back and side of the pads to stop them from squeeling. I hate to tell you this but you wasted your money...go get some anti-sqeek(a bottle so it lasts and its much more cost effective) and coat the back of the pads....this is normal! I know this for a fact...and I used to worry like you.
Can you still call the dealer and cancel?
Do you purchase bolts for your exhaust from them too? Hope not...people think that everything has to be replaced with exactly the same parts...sometimes yes but not all the time...it is a waste of money
