Default Spoon Springs or H&R Springs??

Im thinking of lowering my R for better handling and for an aggressive look. Which do you recommend Spoon Spring or H&R. I heard good things on both springs and both of them lower the R but which does the better job?

Get kg/mm springs. They lower your car about 0.75-1.00" all the way around and they handling like stock setup (i.e. no downgrade in handling). Spoon drops the R way too low for my taste and if you have an aftermarket 4-1 header, you'll scrap it bad on bumps.

What weight H&R springs, and are they progressive or straight ratio?

By Spoon springs you mean the out of the box Spoon Progressives, right?

What are you going to be doing w/the car?

What kind of shocks are you going to be using?</TD></TR></TABLE>

I will be using stock shocks, and use my car for street racing! (no tracks available in Malta!) Spoon Springs - Progressive . H&R Progressive springs.

Is it better to use Ground Controls with custom kg/mm springs?

Go with H&R springs. Lot´s of ITR´s here in Portugal using them and they´re very nice.

And they race (street) all the time.

few things. your going to get advice...but we don't promote street racing. I'm not sure of your location and how public your street racing "sanction body" is but do everything possible to keep it to a track...or very least away from any possible way to injure others. mow down some wheat fields or grape fields or corn fields and get some dirt tires on that teg.

We're talking Malta and Portugal here, not sure about street racing there.

i know. thats why i couldn't comment specifically about the type of racing...whether closed off streets etc. street racing is just as dangerous here in NJ as it is in Malta if pedestians are in clear and present danger.

agreed. I was actually responding to george's post that he couldn't participate in this thread anylonger. Anyhoo, agreed, street racing is unsafe anywhere, and the crazy ***** at rally races that stand so close are .... crazy.

Back on topic: Spoon springs lower the rear of the car an abnormal amount compared to the front. A few have been warned and still asked if they are supposed to be that way.. and don't use them with Koni's.

with similar progressive spring rates for both h&r and spoom,

you just have to ask yourself....which is cheaper in malta?

over here it was the H&R's....which is why i selected them over the spoom hypes.
