Default Race Fuel....

Where do u get your race fuel at for the weekends? Also what octane does it have...

most tracks sell it, as well as some local gas stations.

there are several different octane ratings available

100 is the only unleaded, I think they make a 105 or 110 unleaded, but I have not seen it myself.

then there are leaded fuels such as 112, 114, and 116, keep in mind that leaded fuel can dammage your cat, and oxygen sensor..

also you can get high octane leaded fuel at airports, you have to pay the federal taxes on it, but it is still cheaper than what the track charges for it, at the track it is usually 4.75 to 5.50 sometimes more, the aircraft fuel comes to about 2.75 to 3.50 with the taxes... hope this helps

i had about 30 gal. given to me of VP C12 due to the guy was moving from NY to FL it was a x-mas present

in ny/nj either SK speed in long island or up north NJ near paterson

To answer the question depending on what track you go to they have it on site, usually C12(112 octane) or C16(116 octane) if it's not on site you can usually get it at your larger speed shops, anything more powerful than that, my guess would be you're not just a weekend warrior..... I know we all love that burning eye smell that alcohol makes!!!! espically when you're at the dyno and stuck in the garage with it
