I have an 89 civic si and i just put a 97 sohc vtec motor in my car from a del sol. the motor runs alright it idles funny, if i hold the gas at 1000 rpm the engine has constant bog. As well I am throwing codes 4 and 9. I was wondering if anyone new the wire colors of the cyp and the ckp sensors that come out of the distsributor so that maybe i can run them straight to the ecu. the engine didnt come withe the harness so i cut the plug and i want to know if i wired it up the right way. Any help would be great thanks.

Looks like your distributor is not wired up correctly.


Code 4 is **CKP Sencor**. Code 9 is **CYP SENSOR**

B11 Pink/Orange Or Orange **CYP P**
B12 White **CYP M**
B13 Pink/ Light Blue Or Orange/ BLUE **TDC P**
B14 White/Blue Stripe **TDC M**
B15 Blue/Green **CKP P**
B16 Blue/Yellow **CKP M***

I have the same problem but at 3500RPM car does not want to Go over it starts to bog.
