Hey bud...

well i can modify it.... tha'ts the reason of this post, because i have this nice miller stainless/aluminum tig welder and a 2500 pound argon tank full... and i was thinking .. why the heck would i buy a moroso when i can tig welded it myself if i have some pics of the h22a one... it's not rocket science... maybe 50$ in aluminum.. not including time of course.. but i can modify the baffles for hard acceleration and also turns.. maybe even encoroporate a crank sraper also ???

tying to find good pics ... =0)

links are fine

oh and the stock one has no baffles so.... i don't know what's worse hahahhahaha

The Moroso one also requires you to cut your engine mounts which is a for me. Buy a new stock pan and start welding in baffles.

Really? do you know if they revised the design? I picked one up when they were brand new on the market and on the 4th gen you had to only trim the rear mount slightly, but for the 5th gen you had to hack 1/3 off the rear one and 1/2 the front one or something like that.

They must of redesigned the oil pan after almost everyone in the initial batch with Summit returned theirs, which is good to hear. Basicly I think what caused [searches around] the problem is that (i was wrong earlier) you had to cut most of the engine block stiffener to get it to fit correctly. Also, with the Type-SH model the oil drain bolt was inaccessable and the jut out would contact the ATTS system. I'm just glad that they took it back and redesigned the thing considering the fitment issues it had initially. Sorry for posting the now faulty info.

it doesnt look like it would drain very well when its time for an oil change. the lowest point isnt at the drain bolt...its on the other side for some damn reason.

what the hell?

um, no, sory guys, but when the engine is in the car, the bottom of the pan sits level, Prelude engines has a serious tilt to the rear, take you valve cover off and look at how your engine sits if you don't beleive me

Plus, at least when I change my oil, I use a set of jackstands under the front jack points and tilt the car anyway.
