tranny fluid for 98 ex 5spd

Default tranny fluid for 98 ex 5spd

i just bought a tranny from a 98 ex to go on my z6 in my 94 hatch. just wondering what kind of fluid can i use. is honda fluid the only type? i know in my 89 crx Si tranny i was supposed to run SAE 30 motor oil. does that apply here too? thanks

There are other types. Redline, synchromesh, valvoline. I use Honda MTF.

redline s MTL is suppose to work pretty good..it s a 80w lubricant that meets GL4 requirements as well as those tranny s recommending 30w oil

so vavoline sae 30w oil will work just fine right? im sure ill upgrade it soon after, but this stuff is free to me and i am so tight for money tring to get this swap done..heh...thanks guys
