You really don't want to get race springs with stock shocks. The ride quality will probably be very noticeable and you also run the chance of blowing the shocks

i did it when i had my civic. You can do it but it will ride like crap! Very bouncey and stuff. They will blow out too! You'll have maybe a month before they go. Best bet is to get it all and do it at once!

I second that, if you are going to put race springs on why not just wait until you get shocks? I was in the same situation and just waited the extra couple of months and found a good set (KYB AGX adjustable) of shocks at a good price. I believe you can pick these up for around $300 (give or take $20) off Ebay or some websites (Coxautomotive.com or something like that, can someone clarify this for me).

Just as easy to put the shock and springs on as just putting the springs on, why do it twice?

And blowing your shocks

And not to mention, once your shocks blow you will be riding on just springs which in time will destroy the springs,I was riding on blow shocks and now even with a new pair it will still sag from riding on blown shocks.
