16" streetable track tire ?...Did a search, not really a help
Well, I'm looking for a set of street tires in 16" that will perform well on the track too! I do the occasional track thing, so I don't have a separate set of wheels for it until I get more into it (hopefully soon)
But I don't want something that is going to wear out in 5,000 miles. Now my problem is that the tires that I have seen and heard as being good, I don't see in a 205-45-16 or 215-40-16.
the one I did find is the Pirelli P7000 Summer tires (which one would be better suited for the R 205/45ZR16 or the 215/40WR16 both of which tirerack carries), which would be fine as I am in South Florida and it rarely gets below 60 degrees. Im wondering if you guys have any input on this set, or another that may perform better.
Such as A032R's (couldn't find in size), RE010's (NSX directional problem), V700's (not the best for street use, want something that has some wet handling, it rains too much here in the summer)...What are my other options?
thanks guys...

yes, but I did read his post about them being asymmetrical, I don't want to run into any problems concerning that...
I hear from a few that use Pzero in 205/45zr16 --->that this is a great tire for summer street driving and light track use.

The P7000 Summer versions wear pretty quickly if you drive aggressively. So you can expect about 20k out of them if you are easy on them. They work great on both wet and dry. Dry performance is much like Dunlop SP8000 & Yokohama AVS. If you are lookin for a tire that will last a bit longer look into some Yokohama A520's or Kuhmo Supra 712's.

I had mine installed on Saturday, so far they seem to stick fairly well...the road had a little water on it this morning, so I didn't want to push it...I'm attending a local autocross on Sunday, so I'll have a better idea of what they are capable of after this weekend. I'll also be running on these tires at the EXPO.
