All you people that have your whole car painted(exterior of course, engine bay, interior), how did you get your car to the shop? Tow it there? Is there an amount of time you have to wait untill you drive your car again? I heard if you get your car wet a little after it's painted, it will ruin it or something.

i drove my car to the paint shop and right when it was done i drove it home, i didnt wash it for a week and i know u cant wax it for a month (but i waited 2 or 3 and i still havent waxed it!) i didnt hear about the getting it wet thing though

 

just got mine painted too, they said just dont wash it for 2 weeks and dont wax it for a month. it rained right after i picked it up, no probs though.

I'd have my car locked in a garage for a month!

What about people that have the engine bay painted. Did you get the car towed?

 

I got a earl shieb paint job and it was nice

he was there at the meet! i was like - oh, he car looks sparklier...

 

I stripped my car of all the moldings/rubber trim, and drove it to the shop. I had only left a few bolts holding the bumpers, lights, and mirrors on, so I unscrewed them, and threw them inside the car when I left it there. When I picked it up, I put those few screws on to hold it together, and drove it home, it was raining really hard, but the car/paint was fine

 

it can rain, and get wet. You just dont want to take a cloth to it, may make the paint run or smear.

They told me dont wash it for 2 weeks and dont wax it for a month.
