ATTN: Anyone with a B-Series VTEC Motor (B16A or B18C)
I have a brand new set of Neuspeed sparkplug wires that I bought for my 93 Prelude VTEC, but it turns out that the plugs (the black part) are too short and don't even reach the spark plugs. Now, I'm trying to figure out what car they do belong to. I'm guess it is a B-Series VTEC motor since it has a coil wire too. I need someone with a B-Series VTEC motor to just pull a sparkplug wire and measure the length of the plug to see if it matches the length of the wires I have. Here is a picture of my wires with a ruler to reference:
Well, I just happen to have a brand new set of NGK plug wires sitting right here next to me, waiting to go in my 95 GSR. They measure 4 5/8 inches from where you've measured in the pic. Looks like your plugs are gonna be a bit too short for a B series.
I wish I knew what car these were for so I could at least get rid of them by selling them. They're brand new, but useless to me. Any idea what car they might belong to? Again there IS a coil wire also if that helps. Too bad there's no part number on the wires themselves.
Probably for an Accord if it came with an external coil wire.
H- and F-series engines are the only modern Honda engines to use an external coil. All B-series come with an internal coil.
