Bumpstop affects drop ? H&R Sport....
Fact ?
Got my H&R Sport installed on my 92 hatch...ran around 400km yet. Finding the drop a little high...It has something to do with bumbstops ? (i tought not, but someone told me vice versa...)
Anyway who used H&R Sport on their 5th gen and how is the drop ?
Thanks

i just dropped my hatchbakc too last weekend and its not even lowere much like half an inch and the springs are supposed to be 2.5 they are not H&R they are dropzone but i was thinking that maybe i was suposed to take the bumpstops out dopes ynone know? by the way my ride is about your same height in the pic above
i know that with my civic, i didn't completely take the bumpstops out..i cut them in 1/2. i don't know what the affects would be with taking them out completely.

Dumbass...
H&R recommend to NEVER cut bumps stops. But advise it will support the proper drop for sport and race. Race = 1in. Sport = 1/2in. It will let your ride sit lower, as it should. Just remember to adjust camber, your losing traction by having bad camber - slower car, worn tires, dangerous - Just FYI for all my Honda homies - Yes, that means you...

The instructions with my H&R Sports specifically say not to cut the bumpstops.

my sol sits about that high w/ h&r sports. Im also riding w/o bumpstops for 9 months now w/o a problem. The spring has to be almost completly coil bound to do any harm to the shock, this is hard...

I don't know about H&R Sports for Civics, but on my Integra, these springs DUMPED the car to like a 2.5"-3" drop. Even when I had to run one OE shock on the front for a week because of the broken Koni adjusting tab, they still sat that low.
Here it is with FULL bumpstops (because H&R said not to trim them). I will be trimming them soon because the car sits SO damn low. H&R Sports for Integras

My 93 coupe is running on H&R Sports and KYB AGX with full bumpstops. I'd say I've got about a maximum 1 finger gap upfront and maybe 2 - 2.5 finger gap maximum in the rear. There's a number of us in the local car club running the same springs and we all have close to the same drop. Some of those pics people have posted look like they're running a bit too high.
