Default Identify this hole. . .

I am looking to purchase a 99-00 SI AEM CAI to go on my B18C with Skunk2 IM.

I was looking at this picture and wondering what this black hole below the valve cover breather nipple is used for. My current GSR CAI from AEM does not have this hole, so I am a little confused.

Does the plug come with the CAI? I am buying it from a guy, and he claims he has all the original parts.

I realize it is meant for an OBD2 engine, but I just want to know where I can source a little plug.

duct tape or try and find somethin at like auto zone. hope it fits really tight tho. I'd tape it or just get one made for your engine.

Long time no talk Guardson, I am surprised you still remembered my name.

I will definitely take it to Home Depot; worst case scenario, I end up wrapping it in duct tape

Thanks everyone for the quick replies!

You have an SK2 manifold. If it's anything like the ITR manifold there is a sensor in the middle of the intake runners. That is the IAT. Right behind the injectors.

So you don't need that hole if you have the IAT plugged in already.

The Skunk2 manifold is not installed yet. I am gathering all the parts for the big install in about a week or so. I am almost 100% sure I will not need the hole.

If it's not on the GSR intake.. you definetely don't need it.

I'd like to know where it is on the GSR manifold then.. hmm. Same place as the ITR/SK2?

I believe that it's for an OBDII SI and since the tube was being run on an OBDI (less sensors and hoopla do deal with) it was not needed. It didn't hurt anything and ran like a champ.
