Well I saw 2 yellow R's at the event, yet I was unable to chase after them since I didn't drive my car to LSIR track from our place down the street.
Anyway the event was crazy!!!! The race its self was amazing as well as the attendance. However the most amazing aspect of all was the attendance of the bikes. A total of 90,000+ people attended the event from Sat-Sun. I would say about 85% rode bikes too. After the race they closed down the main strip in town to only biker traffic and pedistrian traffic. Ducati had a major presence their with displaying of almost all the of owners club. Their must have been over a 1,000+ people at the night cruse with over 800+ bikes which partied till dawn. Anyway just wanted to see who attended since riders are common among us ITR owners.
Here's the picts:

I'll post some more when I get a chance...

I thought it was awesome. The race was killer and the weather was perfect which made the race even better. I have tons of autographed posters, etc... which I got from the teams. One thing that was cool was the Honda bike which was on display at the booth. Fully factory race built bike which costs around $112,599 to buy (see picture above). Everyone was total kickback at the cannery row party. I'm still amazed at how many people showed up and how the crowd sayed cool. However near the end (1:00am) it started to get crazy. A few people started to ride through the crowd nude and a few people started to show off their bikes.
All in all it was fun. Hopefully I will have my 12R soon once I finish with my projects with my R.

Sweet pics man! Wish they would have something like that up here, alas there is no place worthy!
The wife and I talked about me getting another bike soon. I only want a 600 F4i though. I don't need anything bigger. Just something to have some fun on.

I can't believe I just used the word "alas"

you mean turn 10 when he crashed. (Turn 11 is the final turn of the track when going into the straight away)
Yeah I was ontop of the hill (by the corkscrew) when that happened. Turn 10 is famous for bikes crashing their. Everyone always under estimates that turn since you pick up so much speed coming out of the corkscrew then going into 9 to turn 10. I know when I was racing their and taking classes turn 10 was always the 1 turn to screw people up at.
Later on I walked down the hill and saw Hayden crash at turn 11 which busted his clutch. Damn, I was rooting for him too. Oh well, maybe next time the leaders will stay in the race longer.

yeah he crashed at 10....i meant we were sitting at the grandstand between turn 11 and start/finish. he was jumping on one leg after he got up so i don't think he got hurt too badly.
how do you get to the top by the corkscrew?? you need special passes or something? we didn't get paddock passes so we missed a lot of the good stuff.

You just take the side trail which follows the track from turn 10 up to the corkscrew.
Yeah the paddock was pretty cool. You didn't miss to much unless you want a bunch of posters and autographs from the racers. Also you get to check out their workstations, etc... so I guess thats kinda cool if your into it. For me its a must since I'm a total nut when it comes to the AMA and SBK.
Yeah he ended up breaking his arm and also hurting his leg which was healing from a previous incident from another race.
Damn I really wish they would come to Laguna more. Its gonna be along year waiting for them to return. Oh well at least the ALMS series will be their later in Sept.
Now thats a fun *** race!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However the AMA/SBK seem to offer more stuff to the spectators in the paddock, etc... yet seeing type R's race makes up for it!
