can't get idle on dx to drop???
ok i can't get my dx idle to drop...it was bouncing at about 1-1.2K...then i opened my hood and low and behold found oil everywhere appears that my valve cover gasket was leaking...so thats replaced and i adjusted the screw on the throttle body (tight=higher idle and loose=lower?) either way i've been turning the damn thing back and forth and the idle seems now to be stuck bouncing between 2-2.2K...what the hell all my vaccum lines are hooked up and fine i don't know someone get back to me asap!!!!???
Is your ECU throwing codes? might be a bad EACV. It bypasses air around the throttle body to maintain a solid idle. Your accelerator cable may be stuck or too tight. Try loosening it and see if the idle drops. Also, just to make sure, hose the vaccum lines and intake manifold down with WD40 or something to check for vaccuum leaks.
ok seems that my throttle was stuck alittle bit now its just bouncing between 1-1.2K consistantly...what the hell...everything seems fine alright. and my there aren't any codes however i think something is wrong with that because i know for a fact that my speed sensor isn't hooked up....but i do get a check engine light.
