Default b16 trannied b17

I need to find a tranny for my b17, since my uncle cracked my gsr ys1's transmission howsing. will a b16 cable tranny fit perfectly, or will i have to modify it?

just trying to save money (b17's aren't cheap)

b16 cable tranny will bolt up with no problems. however, your YS1 stock tranny has great gearing. you might just want to look for a b16 tranny that's broken or bad and take the housing and just use it with your ys1 b17 tranny guts.

yeah, i know about the shorter 1st and 5th gears, i was just wondering if a b16 housing would bolt up. thanks man!
