Default 93' Accord vibration

The car has a fairly serious vibration at idle (750-800 rpm's) As soon as I come off idle it smooths out. Engaging the a/c, at idle, makes it worse. I have replaced all tune-up items and have changed the front torque strut and the driver's side motor mount with no success. I hear the rear motor mount is somehow, vacuum controlled. I did find a module mounted to the firewall that feeds engine vacuum to a small black canister mounted next the the mount. The module has an electrical connection and also has a rotary **** on top, which does not appear to change anything when adjusted. I think this module may be the key, but I have never heard of a vacuum controlled motor mount. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yea i hear the old accords tend to have mad motor mounts... I've heard that you need to replace the rear and front motor mounts, well the front is actually a tranny mount... The rear one i also heard was the one with the vacume lines in it... The one i heard costs close to $300, which kinda prevents me from wanting to change it... lol I'll do it sooner or later... but yea the rear mount does has vacume lines coming out of it... After changing it, it should prevent the vibration.

the rear mount is different from auto and manual. The auto, which i am assuming your car is, has all that vaccuum interface crap. You can just replace it with a 5 speed rear mount, or fill it with silicone to prevent movement. Replacing with a 5 speed unit seems to be a better solution for you.

the mount is a dual cavity design when the car is at idle, the ECU applies a vaccume to the mout causing the gell to move into the cavity and and absorb engine vibration. once the car starts moving the vaccume is released and the gel moves back into the first cavity to stiffen up the mount. Check for a vaccume leak ior a cracked hose before replacing the mount as they are a P I T A to replace.

I took the module out of the equation by removing it and running vacuum directly from the intake. The vibration is still there, although not quite as bad. Looks like I'll have to replace the rear mount to end the perpetual massage. Thanks
