Can someone identify this header type???? (told it's for a gsr, looks like an ls)
Okay, now I plan on buying an new edlebrock header for my 99' LS, but I've found an unused ceramic one meant for a gsr at about half the price. I've been sent a picture and the header has an O2 bung horizontally right before the collector (like it would be for an LS), yet the header is for 94-99 gsr's. I'm supposed to make up my mind by tonight, so if anyone can tell me how to post an image off my computer, or will give me their e-mail address, I'd like to know if it is definitely a gsr or ls header. thanks in advance.
If you don't know what kind of header that is (and I don't mean if it's for an LS or GSR), you shouldn't buy it. Headers are not created equal by any means.
Stick with the Edelbrock, their header is supposed be real nice.

I know it's a edelborck, I can see the header, parts, and box, but if you'll see the picture, there is an O2 bung, on the horizontal of the collector, which wouldn't make sense would it??????
I know about the length differences, but i'm not completely convinced the header is for a gsr.....there should not be an 02 bung in the header if the part is made for a 94-99 gsr corrrect?? would someone please just accept an e-mail?
No I don't want an email. But you can go to http://www.we-todd-did-racing.com and get a free account to post images with.

there's a link to the pic, I don't know how to make it show up in my post, but the link should answer my question if someone will look...... [IMG][/IMG]http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid61/p055928a5fa0199dc5485f49cc57eb4a1/fc27dba4.jpg.orig.jpg
according to edelbrock (phoned their tech support), they do include an O2 sensor bung on the collector pipe along with a plug in case it is not needed. He also stated that he had no idea if one meant for a gsr would fit on an ls, eiter way, I have decided to purchase the header shown in the pic, hopefully it doesn't cost an arm and a leg for installation.......
its a GSR for sure, my friend has the same one for his Ls and he went though hella problems, but it worked though, but not with the o2, he's running without one right now, becuase he broke his first one because the header was to short for the Ls and the o2 wasnt in the right place so it snap!, he bought a used o2 for 50buck and now he's not using it because it wont work.
well i guess that means an auto shop is definitely doing the install. The header cost after taxes and shipping was $360 US. I'm thinking it's a pretty good price considering up here in Canada it retails for like $970 + tax and i only paid $550 CDN taxes in. I don't mind spending some extra money for an install.

I went to the shop that did the test-pipe back custom exhasut install. The guy said it shouldn't be a problem, they could just weld a pipe between the collector and the test-pipe. I should have the header next tuesday or wednesday, it's only one province away............
