I just bought an ECU, distirbutor, and Fuel Injector resistor box from a 90 Civic 4dr not sure on the model it has hit really bad in the back so i couldn't tell. But it had MPFI and i wasn't aware this year car came with MPFI, other then the SI? All the wires were factory so i know it wasn't swapped unless they used the whole harness? I couldn't make out the engine code because it was covered in old caked up oil. Anyways, what car model was this? And ii'm planing on using this for my MPFI swap in my DX HB. I have a mani from a 92 Civic DX and i'm using all the other stuff from that 90 Civic 4dr. What injectors will i need to use? I'm assuming the ones from the 92 won't work because they are OBD1 and the ECU i'm using is proally OBD0?
My friend used integra Injectors from an 90 i think? SO i figured i would use those, or what else will work? Will HF injectors work? or are they to small? I searched for this but really couldn't find what i was looking for.

Ah, I thought the Civic EX was MPFI?

 

i believe the 90-91 LX and EX both came with MPFI.

only the EX came MPFI

none of the DX or LX have them

DX + LX have d15b2 motors.. the EX came with the d16a6 motor? the HB/CRX Si motor

 

Get the spindles while you're at it for the brake upgrade!

 

wow i had know idea there was a civic EX in this year or generation. SO what ur saying is i have the civic SI computer? anyone have model numbers i can compare mine too?

Yup, 90 was the first year, d16a6, power locks/windows, cruise control, bigger rotors. I think they also had optional sunroof but mine doesnt have it. I got mine for $900, running but head gasket leak, tranny in great shape. Perfect for my ZC.

 

the civic ex really came with an a6? thats pretty cool. the 4wd wagons also came with the MPFI...but i doubt the car was crushed that bad...time for me to find a sedan with a sunroof & a6
