adjustable springs & shocks on GSR
hi,
I'm don't know a lot about cars, but considering lowering my car. however with the lowering there often a lot of problems with speedbumps etc. So I heard about adjustable springs, shocks..... any1 have any experience with them and can recommend me which one to get? And how much they cost?

I have Koni adjustables. I like them but they are $500 plus the cost of the install. These are firmness adjustable.
I think the adjustability you are looking for is height adjustment?? If that's the case you may want some ground control coilovers as well which will let you adjust your ride height...but your alignment will be thrown off every time you do that...the Honda double wishbone suspensions change their geometry significantly when you change ride height so simple coil-overs are not the answer. Every time you change your height you need a realignment plus a camber kit to straigten out your tires when you lower.
If you are on a budget, a height adjustable system done right is not cheap:
You'll need:
Ground control springs/collars :300
GOOD shocks: 250-500
Camber kit: 150?
Install labor: 300+?
alignments: 50 each time you change your height:
Or there's also the full coil-over option which is much more expensive...800+ plus the install.
You may want to look into a mild lowering with some springs and some shocks sans the height adjustment. Shocks are recommended, but not absolutely necessary if you are "mildly" lowering...if you are going over 1.5" you need new shocks.
