Can I run Y8 injectors on my A6?
I have a Z6/A6 mini-me and was thinking of using some Y8 injectors
I did a search and someone said you have to take out the resistor box, Another person said that they ran fine with the box still in, just had to modify the plug slightly to fit

The problem is Y8s would be OBD-II, while your A6 is OBD-0. MPFI 0's had low impedance injectors, and I think the OBD-II were high impeadance, so you will fry those injectors unless you convert to OBD-II. Why not just find more A6 ones.
Will have to remove the injector resistor box....OBD0 are low ohms while OBDI and OBDII are both high ohms. The resistor box will raise the ohms load so if running high ohm injectors and then the resistor box will fry the ECU. Higher ohms load, harder for current to run and thru vice versa. Also the injector plugs are different so will need some OBDII plugs for the injectors. Or just find another set of OBD0 injectors there all 240cc's or get some 92-95 preludes and there 290cc and there still low ohms
i heard you could use them if you just tie all the wires at the injector resistor box together. thats pretty much what you do in a obd2 swap for the injectors, it should work fine.

Different plugs and different resistance. Mod or splice in the OBD2 injector connectors. Hack off the injector resistor box plug and solder all the wires together. Go for a drive.
