1999 Accord EX Idle
I had my low mileage car stored in the gararge for several months. When I tried starting it everything started fine but the idle will vary. It will vary up and down between 800 rpm and approximately 1400 rpm. I made sure that the car reached normal operating temperature but it didn't help. Is there a way to read trouble codes directly from the dashboard as they do in some models?? Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
heres how to read the codes, but if the Check engine light isn't on, you most likely do not have a code.

check all your vacume lines, sitting in storage, they could have dry rotted, or could have become attractive to some sort of chewing rodent.
could also be water in the gas. how full was the tank when you parked it?
