I decided to keep my crx, and it needs tons of work both quarter panels need to be reaplaced. Does anybody know where i can get them with no rust or just little bit. At junk yard i seen crx but with rust. Please anybody could help me.

don't buy panels off another crx, ,most likely they are corroded also. You can go to Honda and buy the fiberglass replacement panels which are designed to fit your car or they have metal replacement kits for them also. Honda has those too or you can try buying aftermarket ones, whatever you do buy new OR get a bodyshop to cut your panels out and weld metal in there, DON'T CHEESE. It will just bubble in a couple months

 

damn for the hassle of new quater panels you should just get a new shell.

 

When i got my crx, it also needed alot of body work.... so far ive restored one side, I needed basically the whole quarted panel Plus door jam of the drivers side.... i dont know how to weld, so i had to pay the body shop to do it. with all the cutting, welding of the new used part, primering, and bondo-ing it came out to 1000 for one side. I'm suspecting the other side should be less because it has less rust.

If i could do it over i would buy a shell, But i already invested money in this car so im not going to just throw it away... atleast when im done i can say i Saved the car, and now it looks great.
The stupid thing is that these things should have should been bolted on, instead they connect to every thing on the frame. So basically you need either to cut out all the rust and weld new metal.. or do what i did. So yah.... if you still decide to keep it good luck if not, ill still take it off your hands... The only reason i need your car is for parts... So let me know...

 

its expensive, i replace both my quarters with oem honda, its been a year and they are still rot free and its a great feeling, here in ny (salty winters) its almost imposible to find a rot free rex

 

And how much quarter panels are from the dealer and aftermarket?

 

I got a clean one at a junk yard for 150. Oem i think they are they are probably up to 300+. But unless you know how to weld, and cut its going to cost alot to pay the body shop to do it...

I would like to knonw more about these fiberglass replacements your talking about???
