Default ***B18 vs. B20***

Wanted to know if a B20 was worth getting in a ef civic or would the B18 yeild the same results (as a daily driver and 1/4 drag once and awhile)....I know the B20 is way more expensive but has more torque.....THANX!

i would go with the B20 myself.

when building a car from bottom up, you should always think what your goal is. what do you want the car to be N/a or Turbo. think future plans.....

buy the B20!!

if you're gunna keep it stock and you want that torque go b20 but the b18 and b20 have the same crank duration so all you need to do is bore out the b18 and you've got a b20

the B20 has weaker sleeves, 7mm vs. 9mm. a properly installed blockguard will keep the sleeves from cracking tho.

i dont know how much your B18 is, but my B20 was only 100... ;-) lucky deal... but i've seen them for about 700 most places. I think the B20 is the better bet... I am a little biased but .2L can only help ;-)

I'd bet on the B18 even though the B20 has more Tq, i dont think the B20 can hang with the B18 up top with the stock head and cams

I'm pretty sure he is talking about the B18A/B, not the 1.8 GSR.

B20! B20! B20!

Definitely B20! I used to have a B18B in my HB and was NEVER satisfied with the performance I got. I had always been told that the B18B is 'torquey'. But that was news to me. The B20 actually gave me the torque I was looking for in the B18B. And more power as well. If you can afford it, definitely go B20.

The B20 of course(for mild upgrades), more displacement. If I was going all out, I'd go for the LS block and get it resleeved.
