when i had my b16a.. my driver side axle keeps breaking (the joints keeps popping open and all that bearing falls out). it has happen to be 3 times already. what would the problem be? i had place racing mounts.
maybe you dont have your mounts in good, i had to use washers on my driver side mount,
also are these new axles?
you have to be reallly carefull when putting them in,
btw i used 91 integra axles.

If you are using a 90-93 teg intermediate shaft and axles, you should have no problem. The axles that you should use depend on the intermediate shaft you're using.

The passenger side dosen't effect the driver side so, you could have an SIR intermediate shaft and still use a 90-93 axel on the passenger side.

But is it from a Civic SiR(EF) or an Integra XSi(DA)? Both are JDM 1st gen B16 cars. Your best bet is to see if you have the bottom, or middle intermediate shaft in this pic:
Your problem sounds like you are using a drivers' axle that is too short for the intermediate shaft(hence the shaft popping out of the joint). Like maybe a 86-89 teg axle instead of a longer 90-93 one.
Best bet to fix everything: 90-93 intermediate shaft + 90-93 left axle = no more problems.

it also depends on what tranny you have... If it's the S1, A1, or J1 you can use 90-93 Integra Axels and just remove your dust shield from your hud. But if it's a Y1 tranny then go to http://www.driveshaftshop.com to get some custom ones made for that tranny
